“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to test all of you as a farmer sifts his wheat. I have prayed that you will not lose your faith! Help your brothers be stronger when you come back to me.” – Luke 22:31-32
Speaking at the Stratford House last week, these verses were a portion of scripture the Lord put on my heart.
Jesus knows the enemy likes to single us out, like a lion singles out one prey from the herd. When the enemy messes with Peter he isn’t with the rest of the disciples anymore. They’ve all scattered.
God never intended you to make it on your own or alone.
” Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire;he breaks out against all sound judgment.” – Proverb 18:1 (ESV)
“Two people are better than one, because they get more done by working together. If one falls down, the other can help him up. But it is bad for the person who is alone and falls, because no one is there to help.” – Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
