“‘You must not have sexual relations with a man as you would a woman. That is a hateful sin.” – Leviticus 18:22

This verse was in my devotions and it reminded me of when they passed a ‘same sex’ marriage law.

A young man struggling with this sin, asked a friend of mine and I on Facebook if he coould now go to heaven.

We both responded the same way. If you can write legislation to create your own law, can’t you write legislation to create your own heaven?

What struck me about the verse is that I’m old enough to remember when ‘gay’ meant ‘happy.’ In none of my encounters with those struggling with this sin have I seen this to be the case.

Oh, that reminds me. A friend saw on my computer, the original Apple logo with its colored stripes and wondered if they promoted that sin.

I told him Apple had it before that association and God had it before Apple.

“… a hateful sin.” The enemy hates us. A person choosing this life style cannot reproduce themselves within it. No reproduction means no life.

There are countries who will kill their own people who attempt this sin but praise the US for its ‘forward’ thinking.

While the population of those countries increases exponentially, this country’s diminishes.

It is a patient war won without bloodshed.

I know I’m speaking to the choir something we already know, but maybe it’s just reminder to love and pray for those we know struggling with sin, any ‘hateful’ sin, that they would ‘know the truth and have the Truth set them free.’ – John 8:32
