Reading “Good vs God” by John Bevere, again.

Ever catch yourself looking up at that one tree in the garden of Eden, you know, the only one from which you don’t have permission to eat?

Perhaps you stand beneath it, sit beneath it’s branches looking up at it’s fruit in frustration.

Then, by God’s grace, you suddenly recall that God made another few thousand trees from which you do actually have permission to eat.

You’ve spent all this time beneath the one tree from which you don’t have permission to eat that you’ve become fruitless and empty handed.

What are you doing here?!

You’ve expended all this time and energy reaching into the branches of this tree that you’ve exhausted yourself. Your attempts to stay beneath this tree and stretch to reach the fruit of others, too, has only led to frustration.

Eve said it looked good, and she was right, but, it’s not God.

Get out from under that tree and go experience the vast amount of fruit God DOES have in store for you!!

“Trust the LORD with all your heart, and don’t depend on your own understanding. Remember the LORD in all you do, and he will give you success.” – Proverb 3:3-5
