“When I was in trouble, I called to the LORD, and he answered me. LORD, save me from liars and from those who plan evil. You who plan evil, what will God do to you? How will he punish you? He will punish you with the sharp arrows of a warrior and with burning coals of wood.” – Psalm 120:1-4
Be still. Stop imagining or thinking of what YOU might do.
Stop. Let it go. Forgive them.
“My friends, do not try to punish others when they wrong you, but wait for God to punish them with his anger.
It is written: “I will punish those who do wrong; I will repay them,” says the Lord. But you should do this: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him a drink.
Doing this will be like pouring burning coals on his head.” (Proverbs 25:21-22)
Do not let evil defeat you, but defeat evil by doing good.”
I know what it is like to be around those who lied to you and about you. I know what it is like to imagine a reckoning.
God has better things He wants to do with your heart. Allow Him to care for the outcome.
Allow Him to heal your heart.
Oh, and when you trust the Lord to catch the thief who stole from you, the outcome is amazing!
“But if he is caught, he must pay back seven times what he stole, and it may cost him everything he owns.“ – Proverb 6:31
God’s hands are bigger than yours.
Let it go.
Lift now your empty hands in praise to God.
Find good to do to those who wronged you.
