“Some people brought even their babies to Jesus so he could touch them. When the followers saw this, they told them to stop. But Jesus called for the children, saying, “Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them, because the kingdom of God belongs to people who are like these children. I tell you the truth, you must accept the kingdom of God as if you were a child, or you will never enter it.” – Luke 18:15-18
“When Simon Peter saw what had happened, he bowed down before Jesus and said, “Go away from me, Lord. I am a sinful man!” – Luke 5:8
Peter, face to face with the miraculous, sees that he has given in to the mundane.
‘Mundus’, from which we derive ‘mundane,’ is a latin word for ‘world.’
Sometimes, we allow the characteristics of the world to infect us.
In that process, the miraculous fades.
We forget what it is to be a child.
Be a child.
