Grace

At my dear pastor’s 90th birthday an old youth pastor saw me and said, “I’m surprised you still come here after what you did.”

He had always been really funny when I was a youth so I assumed he was joking but, he wasn’t.

I asked him what on earth he assumed I did that would keep me from coming to church.

He said, “Nothing. It doesn’t matter.” and walked away.

“Nothing.” is right.

There is nothing you can do that would keep you from experiencing God’s grace.

Nothing.

Don’t let the devil or anyone else ever lie to you.

I’m still curious to know what he thought I did and am ever so grateful he and anyone like him is not God. ;)
