What if it’s not?

Read Psalm 119.

Had an individual tell me he was convinced David and Jonathan were ‘gay’ because of the nature of their relationship.

Had another conversation wherein David was referred to as having been in touch with his ‘feminine side.’

What ‘side’ is that, exactly, and who considers themselves expert on which category, masculine or feminine, a particular attribute resides?

Are the words ‘masculine’ and ‘feminine’ enough to qualify a unique individual’s attributes?

Based on just those two, it seems that the qualifications for both have been all too often broken and therefore too subject to ‘exceptions to the rule.’

How many times must we say ‘that female is too masculine’ or ‘that male is too feminine’ to figure out that whoever came up with those limiting descriptors really botched it?

David was ‘a man after God’s own heart’ and just a basic perusal of Psalm 119 demonstrates he was able to establish the connection between comprehending God’s laws, precepts, commands, directives, and promises AND passionately pursuing his relationship with God.

‘Gay’? By one definition of the word, perhaps. Very happy with finding ways to take God’s Word beyond the rudimentary application of writing them on stone AND writing them on his own heart in the pursuit of God’s.

Jesus said, “Don’t think that I have come to destroy the law of Moses or the teaching of the prophets. I have not come to destroy them but to bring about what they said.

Then, He wrapped ALL of the law up into two sentences that happen to be about relationships.

“Jesus answered, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.” This is the first and most important command. And the second command is like the first: “Love your neighbor as you love yourself.” All the law and the writings of the prophets depend on these two commands.” – Matthew 22:37-40

Maybe, just maybe, whoever came up with using those two qualifiers should have left them to physical attributes, where there really are only two possibilities, and not heart attributes where the possibilities are endless.

Don’t settle for finding yourself in a ‘stereotype’. Dig a little deeper.

What if it’s not?

What if you were never meant be arbitrarily cast into one or the other of just two qualifiers?

What if who you are is better defined by the One who created you?

Foundations of Faith

The basic doctrines, the foundation, of the Christian faith are the subject of this completely online Bible study course.

Foundations of Faith

There are two reasons for failure to live a victorious Christian life. The first reason is that some who are trying to live like Christians have never been born again. They do not understand the basic doctrines of Jesus Christ. The second reason for failure is not going on to spiritual maturity. The focus of this study is that  maturity.

Kingdom Living

All men live in a natural kingdom of this world. They live in a city or village which is part of a nation. That nation is a kingdom of the world. In addition to the natural kingdoms of this world there are two spiritual kingdoms which exist.

Kingdom Living

Every person alive is a resident of one of these two kingdoms: The kingdom of Satan or the Kingdom of God. This study concerns the Kingdom of God. It introduces the two spiritual kingdoms, their rulers, and residents. It provides spiritual keys for gaining access to the Kingdom of God and warns of things which result in being cast out.
