“When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and sat down again.

He asked, “Do you understand what I have just done for you? You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and you are right, because that is what I am. If I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash each other’s feet. I did this as an example so that you should do as I have done for you.

I tell you the truth, a servant is not greater than his master. A messenger is not greater than the one who sent him. If you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

“I am not talking about all of you. I know those I have chosen. But this is to bring about what the Scripture said: ‘The man who ate at my table has turned against me.’

I am telling you this now before it happens so that when it happens, you will believe that I am he. I tell you the truth, whoever accepts anyone I send also accepts me. And whoever accepts me also accepts the One who sent me.” – John 13:12-20

The very worst betrayal:

“The man who ate at my table has turned against me.”

Still, it happened.

It happens.

“I give you a new command: Love each other. You must love each other as I have loved you. All people will know that you are my followers if you love each other.” – John 13:34-35

“But God shows his great love for us in this way: Christ died for us while we were still sinners.” – Romans 5:8

Foundations of Faith

The basic doctrines, the foundation, of the Christian faith are the subject of this completely online Bible study course.

Foundations of Faith

There are two reasons for failure to live a victorious Christian life. The first reason is that some who are trying to live like Christians have never been born again. They do not understand the basic doctrines of Jesus Christ. The second reason for failure is not going on to spiritual maturity. The focus of this study is that  maturity.

Kingdom Living

All men live in a natural kingdom of this world. They live in a city or village which is part of a nation. That nation is a kingdom of the world. In addition to the natural kingdoms of this world there are two spiritual kingdoms which exist.

Kingdom Living

Every person alive is a resident of one of these two kingdoms: The kingdom of Satan or the Kingdom of God. This study concerns the Kingdom of God. It introduces the two spiritual kingdoms, their rulers, and residents. It provides spiritual keys for gaining access to the Kingdom of God and warns of things which result in being cast out.
