“But I will stay at Ephesus until Pentecost, because a good opportunity for a great and growing work has been given to me now. And there are many people working against me.

If Timothy comes to you, see to it that he has nothing to fear with you, because he is working for the Lord just as I am. So none of you should treat Timothy as unimportant, but help him on his trip in peace so that he can come back to me. I am expecting him to come with the brothers.” – 1 Corinthians 16:8-11

“a good opportunity for a great and growing work”

“there are many people working against me.”

“none of you should treat Timothy as unimportant”

“help him on his trip in peace”

While doing God’s will, there will be opposition.

Be sure you are not that opposition.

Treat each other as ‘important.’

Help each other journey peacefully.

I confess. Sometimes, I feel I’ve lost my way. I’ve experienced just enough ‘opposition’ to a purpose that I feel I fade back to a ‘comfortable’ place.

I claim I’m attempting ‘balance’ but then, as I sit and read or play a video game, or watch a show, I wonder what I could be doing to further the kingdom or tell someone about Jesus.

If I have time to wonder, I have time to do…

Someone gave up their Saturday mornings to come to my neighborhood and tell me about Jesus.
