May the great ocean of God’s truth, His Word, lay all undiscovered before us, as we, like children, play on the seashore discovering in it one more smooth pebble and prettier shell of truth.
“If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.”
“I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.” – Sir Isaac Newton (Siri, for short)
I have been very blessed to serve those whom I consider giants and have seen more truth so far than I ever could have imagined because of them.
God is my “great Ocean” because of them.
May I ever be “like a boy”.
Men and women of God, great in their faith, have forever raised up the next generation to ride upon their shoulders, to see further than they ever could have alone.
I am grateful and pray I may be, some day, a giant.
“what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” – 2 Timothy 2:2
