“When David came to Saul, he began to serve him. Saul liked David and made him the officer who carried his armor.” – 1 Samuel 16:21

“The women’s song upset Saul, and he became very angry. He thought, “The women say David has killed tens of thousands, but they say I have killed only thousands. The only thing left for him to have is the kingdom!” So Saul watched David closely from then on, because he was jealous.” – vs. 18:8-9

I tell you the truth, whoever believes in me will do the same things that I do. Those who believe will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.– John 14:10

The contrast?

In whatever role we play, there will be those following us. In my experience, those knowing they are ‘going to the Father’ want others to do ‘even greater things.’
Others, trapped in their insecurities, not sure of their own direction at the time, become jealous, watching another’s progress like Saul did, instead of going to the Father themselves, like Jesus.

The master answered, ‘You did well. You are a good and loyal servant. Because you were loyal with small things, I will let you care for much greater things. Come and share my joy with me.’ – Matthew 25:23

The ‘master’ who is secure in his pursuit of God, who knows he is ‘going to the Father,’ can’t wait to share his joy with those who are good and loyal.

The second command is this: ‘Love your neighbor as you love yourself.’ – Mark 12:31

You can only live, love, and lead, to the extent that you live, love, and lead, yourself.

Foundations of Faith

The basic doctrines, the foundation, of the Christian faith are the subject of this completely online Bible study course.

Foundations of Faith

There are two reasons for failure to live a victorious Christian life. The first reason is that some who are trying to live like Christians have never been born again. They do not understand the basic doctrines of Jesus Christ. The second reason for failure is not going on to spiritual maturity. The focus of this study is that  maturity.

Kingdom Living

All men live in a natural kingdom of this world. They live in a city or village which is part of a nation. That nation is a kingdom of the world. In addition to the natural kingdoms of this world there are two spiritual kingdoms which exist.

Kingdom Living

Every person alive is a resident of one of these two kingdoms: The kingdom of Satan or the Kingdom of God. This study concerns the Kingdom of God. It introduces the two spiritual kingdoms, their rulers, and residents. It provides spiritual keys for gaining access to the Kingdom of God and warns of things which result in being cast out.
