“We capture every thought and make it give up and obey Christ.” – 2 Corinthians 10:5

“Brothers and sisters, think about the things that are good and worthy of praise. Think about the things that are true and honorable and right and pure and beautiful and respected. Do what you learned and received from me, what I told you, and what you saw me do. And the God who gives peace will be with you.” – Philippians 4:8-9

We choose, right?

In a scene from one of the Avenger movies, Dr. Bruce Banner says, “That’s my secret, Cap., I’m always angry.”

We choose when we become hulks of anger, complaining, mully-grubbing, whining, and whatever other feelings that try to ‘hulk out’ of us.

They’re hard to control, and sometimes we choose not to with devastating results.

We will absolutely feel all of them in this life, but will still have the responsibility to choose what to do with them.

“When you are angry, do not sin, and be sure to stop being angry before the end of the day. Do not give the devil a way to defeat you.” – Ephesians 4:26-27

“When” not “if”, right?

It’s okay to have those feelings. You WILL have them.

Just don’t let the enemy defeat you with them.
