Someone on another thread asked, “What makes a great marriage?”

This came to mind:

Genuine love, affection and appreciation, is above all else. (1 Corinthians 13:13)

Allow God to be ‘Dad’ as you navigate life together. The Holy Spirit guides as we, WE, follow. We each have an anointing and calling we must pursue individually and corporately. (Joel 2:28)

A living, breathing accountability to the Lord and to each other. I once confessed a sin to a leader who promptly shared it with our whole team. Before my wife had to hear it second hand, I confessed it to her. That confession and repentance killed it. I’ve never fallen in that sin again. It’s been over 15 years. (James 5:16)

Mutual affection, appreciation, anointing, and accountability make for an A+ marriage.
