“It was not an enemy insulting me.
I could stand that. It was not someone who hated me. I could hide from him. But it is you, a person like me, my companion and good friend. We had a good friendship and walked together to God’s Temple.” – Psalm 55:12-14
We’ve all been here. It feels like the worst betrayal. A family member or a friend seems to affect us the most.
“I told you these things so that you can have peace in me. In this world you will have trouble, but be brave! I have defeated the world.” – John 16:33
“So don’t worry, because I am with you. Don’t be afraid, because I am your God. I will make you strong and will help you; I will support you with my right hand that saves you.” – Isaiah 41:10
“But in all these things we are completely victorious through God who showed his love for us. Yes, I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor ruling spirits, nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us, nothing below us, nor anything else in the whole world will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:37-39
“And all those who have left houses, brothers, sisters, father, mother, children, or farms to follow me will get much more than they left, and they will have life forever.” – Matthew 19:29
Not only has He felt it, He knows we have and will again. He will comfort us when we come through a betrayal. Nothing will ever separate us from His love for us.
