Had a challenging conversation with a brother last night and it reminded me of a number of more recent conversations.

There are many out there becoming scholars of sin.

One individual I spoke to last week could tell you everything there is to know about opiates and opiate addiction and even show you the track marks in unique places from his own experimentation.

Another could tell you the psychological roots of gender neutrality and how we were all ‘born this way.’ (Psalm 51:5?)

Still another, could tell you the benefits of embracing all religious cultures as one, reminding me of the “Coexist” bumper sticker.

They utilize incredible vocabularies of terms, philosophies, statistics and pseudo-historical data to support their claims.

Put paper behind them, they’d be your future pharmacist, psychologist, and historian. Still, their eyes appear to have a matted finish dimming their spirits.

“Educated demons.”

I heard the term for the first time in a prophecy spoken over Jaclyn and I in August of 2010. I didn’t know what it meant then and I think I only barely comprehend it now.

“Repentance. Some people like to speak about will, but not about repentance. You will show them. You will show them. Repentance is a good thing. It drives demons away. It drives demons, those educated demons, it’ll drive them away, and you will see deliverance, eh, that ministry of deliverance the Lord has given you, you will fulfill! Enough, enough, did I not say that in My name you will speak with new tongues, you shall cast out devils. You’re going to see the casting out of devils. You will see. No fear whatsoever!”

That late night encounter with Toby and the 21 demons, wasn’t educated at all. The lady outside our hotel in Oahu clenched her teeth so hard we heard the click from 20 feet away. She never spoke again for as long as we were there, so I don’t know how smart she was. And the child in Costco with the second set of eyes hovering over her own, who screamed insanely as Jaclyn and I approached, was clearly not the ‘educated’ kind. Still…

“Jesus commanded the demon inside the boy. Then the demon came out, and the boy was healed from that time on. The followers came to Jesus when he was alone and asked, “Why couldn’t we force the demon out?”

Jesus answered, “Because your faith is too small. I tell you the truth, if your faith is as big as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. All things will be possible for you. That kind of spirit comes out only if you use prayer and fasting.” – Matthew 17:18-21

How do you cast out ‘educated demons?’

It is the consensus of three of us who know these educated individuals that it began with experimentation with sin. One thing led to another and then… .

Seems to me, then, that the first thing to be done is, indeed, ‘repentance’.

“But God’s strong foundation continues to stand. These words are written on the seal: “The Lord knows those who belong to him,” and “Everyone who wants to belong to the Lord must stop doing wrong.”
In a large house there are not only things made of gold and silver, but also things made of wood and clay. Some things are used for special purposes, and others are made for ordinary jobs. All who make themselves clean from evil will be used for special purposes. They will be made holy, useful to the Master, ready to do any good work.
But run away from the evil desires of youth. Try hard to live right and to have faith, love, and peace, together with those who trust in the Lord from pure hearts.” – 2 Timothy 2:19-22

Our greatest experiment could be an experiment with this portion of ourselves many of us seem to neglect, ignore and even medicate into silence.

We are a triune being. Ignoring one portion while flooding another does not create balance.

Imagine for a moment that all three were satisfied.

Wait! Don’t close your eyes for this one. I don’t mean for you to JUST imagine it, though the enemy would love for that to be as far as you go.

Experiment with Jesus! Educate yourself in His Word!

Want to experience the supernatural?

Experiment WITH the supernatural.

Spend time with THIS Teacher. Give Him as much time as you have to your vices.

Allow Him to TRULY educate you.

“I want you to be wise in what is good and innocent in what is evil.” – Romans 16:19
