A friend asked about all this UFO stuff and I did a little Google search and the first article I saw made me laugh.

“If humans discover extraterrestrial intelligence, it may pose a religious and philosophical challenge, particularly to Christianity,…” –space.com

WHAT?! WHY?! and WHY Christianity in particular?!

In short the author lacked intraterrestrial (I guess I made that up because it’s underlined in red) intelligence. Maybe aliens ate their brain cells.

Christianity’s Bible delivers an approximately 7000 year perspective (Remember the ‘a day with the Lord…’ verse?)

What was God doing before those 7000 years? Was He just twiddling His fingers?

What will we be doing (Yes, yes, I know the new Heaven and new earth and stuff) after the last chapter of the Bible?
_______

I love authors who write books in series, like the “Left Behind” series.

A ‘next book’ in the series carries with it a sense of familiarity because many of the same concepts and characters come with you to the new book.

The Bible has a first page and a last page and a few times within says it doesn’t contain EVERYTHING that could have been written that occurred.

I agree.

“The best is yet to come.”

There is definitely more to come! There will definitely be concepts and characters with which we will be familiar, that and whom we will see again and… …there will be SO MUCH more we will be able to comprehend when we receive our incorruptible bodies (and brains) and ARE able to experience ALL of God’s glory!

Still, there’s much of that, too, about which we’ll be able to ask God when we are no longer limited to the pages of this book.

“If humans discover extraterrestrial intelligence, it may pose a religious and philosophical challenge, particularly to Christianity,…”

That author should have said, “When…” and as I see it, when Christians first discover the ‘Extraterrestrial Intelligence” of God and His Word, they embrace Him.

I can’t wait for the next book in THIS series!
