Go Get Your Belt On

Had to run home and get my belt.

I bought a bunch of shorts, all the same size and thought I could wear this pair without a belt like I had the others. Most of the morning, I had to keep pulling them up for fear of them falling down around my knees.

How embarrassing that would have been.

There’s another belt that works a lot like this one I just put on.

It’s called the belt of Truth.

That Truth is the Word of God.

Go without it and you might find yourself in my shoes, well, in this case, shorts, trying to keep them up on your own without the support of the Truth of God’s Word.

There are two reasons for failure to live a victorious Christian life. The first reason is that some who are trying to live like Christians have never been born again. They do not understand the basic doctrines of Jesus Christ. The second reason for failure is not going on to spiritual maturity. The focus of this study is that maturity.
