“Don’t envy evil people, and don’t be jealous of the wicked. An evil person has nothing to hope for; the wicked will die like a flame that is put out.” – Proverbs 24:19-20

“Why did they do that?”

“How did they get away with it?!”

“Why do they seem to get on with life and even prosper though they lied about me or hurt me or…?”

They don’t.

It’s a lie from the enemy.

“So be careful! If another follower sins, warn him, and if he is sorry and stops sinning, forgive him.” – Luke 17:3

“What if they’re not sorry?”

“The time is near when all things will end. So think clearly and control yourselves so you will be able to pray. Most importantly, love each other deeply, because love will cause people to forgive each other for many sins.” – 1 Peter 4:7-8

Pray that God will fill your heart with a love for those who aren’t ‘sorry and stops sinning.’

The ‘love’ and ‘forgiveness’ is for you, not them.

I’m old enough now to have seen some of their flames put out.

It’s not what they possess or what they’ve done that stands before God one day.

It’s who they are.

Who are you, today?

“Bear with each other, and forgive each other. If someone does wrong to you, forgive that person because the Lord forgave you.” – Colossians 3:13

Thank you, Lord, for forgiving me.
