“If you love me, you will obey my commands. I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper to be with you forever– the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it does not see him or know him. But you know him, because he lives with you and he will be in you.” – John 14:15-17
The Holy Spirit is my constant companion.
Especially in my shared experiences with Jaclyn, He has been such an incredibly real inspiration adding so much of God’s love to each of our adventures!
I was en route to work recently, remembering how my commute to work use to be 30 minutes and how that the Holy Spirit would periodically just fill my car with His presence at times that in that 30 minutes I wondered how I had arrived at work.
This day, though, as I remembered one of those, I was bummed my commute was now only 4-5 minutes.
I thought, for a moment, that because of such a short commute, He could not fill my car like He had then, that we could not have such experiences, again.
I was wrong.
It happened so fast I gasped!
It was if the inside of my car was filling so quickly with His presence that it was from my feet to my waist in seconds and rising to my chest.
Autonomously arriving in the church parking lot, His presence was so apparent I could not hold back my tears of such a deep sense of, “Okay, God, anything really is possible with You.”
It took a few moments for me to collect myself before I existed the car.
God has certainly sent a Helper.
He lives with me.
He lives in me.
