Sin makes us lepers.
I know Jesus’ touch heals us and makes us whole again. I never want to be like the nine.
There are those whom Jesus touched my life through and for their obedience I am ever grateful.
When I look in the mirror I can sometimes see a ghostly faded shade of the leprosy my life could have been. I remember too clearly the faces of gaunt, hollow, men and their actions I was doomed to repeat.
Then, as sometimes those memories begin to coalesce, fissures of light, at the speed, brightness, and pure energy of lightning, splinter the darkness and tiny broken shards of it fly in all directions.
In the mirror I stand, whole, cleansed, purified, healed, released, relieved, …and thankful.
For what are you thankful, today?
