Jesus said to them, “The Father is the only One who has the authority to decide dates and times. These things are not for you to know.
But when the Holy Spirit comes to you, you will receive power. You will be my witnesses—in Jerusalem, in all of Judea, in Samaria, and in every part of the world.” – Acts 1:7-8
Ever buy a pack of batteries, place the extras in a drawer, go to use one a few months later, and find it powerless?
Power without purpose is powerless.
The Holy Spirit gives us power to fulfill our purpose.
We are all called to be witnesses.
Witnesses take the stand for only one purpose:
“Do you swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, so help you God?”
You only need to tell the world , your portion of it, what YOU have seen the Lord do.
“And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb… (Jesus did His part)
…and because of the word of their testimony,…(this is our part)
and they did not love their life even when faced with death.” – Revelation 12:11
That kind of courage comes from the Holy Spirit.
