“Enthusiasm without knowledge is not good. If you act too quickly, you might make a mistake.” – Proverb 19:2

“Plans fail without good advice, but they succeed with the advice of many others.” – Proverb 15:22

Been here, done this!

From devotions this morning and from my own life, I’ve always been very aware of my need for the direction of others. I have always known I am no ‘lone ranger.’

We are each given unique and incredible abilities. We were never, however, meant to wield them alone.

When painting, I’ve always loved secondary and tertiary colors. Blue and yellow make green, Blue and red make purple. Red and yellow make orange. Then there’s blue-green, yellow-orange, red-orange, and… …you get the idea.

Ever try to separate the colors once you’ve mixed them?

They’re inseparable! That’s how God intends us to be as the body of Christ. Despite our differences, we’re meant to complement each other, to bring out hues of God’s presence in each others’ lives we’d have never seen otherwise.

May the Lord bless you with a very colorful day.

Oh, and if it gets a little too colorful 😉, don’t give up, don’t attempt to separate yourself, it just gets messy.
