“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 11:1
Paul said this to the believers at Corinth.
It always reminds me of a hiker, a guide, who is leading a group up a mountain.
What if the guide stops following the map?
How will the follower know to follow the map unless they, too, have a copy of the map and study it?
“The officer who carried Jonathan’s armor said to him, “Do whatever you think is best. Go ahead. I’m with you.””…
“…So Jonathan climbed up, using his hands and feet, and his officer climbed just behind him. Jonathan struck down the Philistines as he went, and his officer killed them as he followed behind him.” – 1 Samuel 14:7, 13
Jonathan’s officer knew how to fight. Jonathan’s officer had his leader’s back because he was equipped with his own sword and armor.
