God put Max on my heart as I was sharing with one of our youth leaders and I think what He put on my heart might be for one of you, too.
Max got a splinter in his foot. It was only an eighth of an inch long but it was in just deep enough that I thought I may have to lance it if it didn’t make its way out in another day.
That night as Jaclyn, he, and I were sitting on the floor and I was tilting his foot up so I could see the splinter better, he looked over at the tweezers and kinda freaked out.
I placed my hand on his leg to calm him and said, “Max, shh. It’s not time for that yet, and it may not hurt at all.”
I waited for him to calm down and as I saw it was a little too deep to extract just yet, decided not to pull it. No tweezers, no pain, no reason to freak out.
We all go through that, though, don’t we?
“Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks. And God’s peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6-7
