Was in New York to do a job some years back.

My first day, literally as I entered the front door of the office, a man stood there with his hands stretched out to the right and left and his head tilted to his chest, saying, in a thick Jersey accent, “Hey, guess who I am?”

I replied, “Uh, haven”t a clue.”

“Ah, come on, guess.”

“Uh, no.”

“I’m Jesus, you know, on the cross.”

“I do know Jesus, and He’s not on the cross.”

“Yes, when Christ died, he died to defeat the power of sin one time–enough for all time.

He now has a new life, and his new life is with God.

In the same way, you should see yourselves as being dead to the power of sin and alive with God through Christ Jesus.” – Romans 6:10-11

The enemy would like to keep Jesus on the cross.

He’d also like to keep you on your cross, too.

Jesus went to the cross once.

That’s it.

That’s all.

That was enough.

For you, too.

Don’t stay on the cross.
