“…don’t be afraid of him.”

“Ahaziah then sent a third captain with his fifty men. The third captain came and fell down on his knees before Elijah and begged, “Man of God, please respect my life and the lives of your fifty servants. See, fire came down from heaven and burned up the first two captains of fifty with all their men. But now, respect my life.”

The LORD’s angel said to Elijah, “Go down with him and don’t be afraid of him.” – 2 Kings 1:13-15a

Not long before Elijah is taken to heaven in a whirlwind, a king wants to see him.

I love how God knows Elijah’s heart and the hearts of other men.

Read 2 Kings 1:1-17 and you will see God shape the hearts of men who will escort Elijah to an unbelieving king.

God knows your heart, your strengths and weaknesses.

Sometimes, He will shape you for your next calling.

Sometimes, He will shape those around you, even by fire.

Foundations of Faith

The basic doctrines, the foundation, of the Christian faith are the subject of this completely online Bible study course.

Foundations of Faith

There are two reasons for failure to live a victorious Christian life. The first reason is that some who are trying to live like Christians have never been born again. They do not understand the basic doctrines of Jesus Christ. The second reason for failure is not going on to spiritual maturity. The focus of this study is that  maturity.

Kingdom Living

All men live in a natural kingdom of this world. They live in a city or village which is part of a nation. That nation is a kingdom of the world. In addition to the natural kingdoms of this world there are two spiritual kingdoms which exist.

Kingdom Living

Every person alive is a resident of one of these two kingdoms: The kingdom of Satan or the Kingdom of God. This study concerns the Kingdom of God. It introduces the two spiritual kingdoms, their rulers, and residents. It provides spiritual keys for gaining access to the Kingdom of God and warns of things which result in being cast out.
